God Forbid A Girl Goes On Tour

w/ Mylie Taylor, LØLØ

As the “God Forbid A Girl Goes On Tour” run winds down, LØLØ brought one of its final three stops to World Cafe Live in Philadelphia. By the end of the night, it was clear this was more than just another date on the calendar. Between the music, the energy, and the connection in the room, it felt like a celebration of an album, an artist, and the people who showed up for both.

Mylie Taylor Sets the Tone

The evening began with Mylie Taylor, the tour’s only opener. The Canadian indie/alt-rock artist shares a home country with LØLØ, and the pairing felt natural. Taking the stage early, Taylor gave the audience a first taste of her sound and settled the room into the night ahead. With just one support act on the bill, her set carried extra weight, and the crowd gave her their attention as she introduced herself to those who may not have known her yet.

The highlight of her set came with a cover of Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb,” which got the whole room singing along. It was a perfect moment of connection, turning a room of strangers into a chorus and proving that Taylor could win over a crowd that had come for someone else. By the time she left the stage, the room was warmed up and ready for the headliner.

LØLØ Takes Over

When LØLØ finally walked out, the shift in the room was immediate. She hit the stage with a high-energy presence that the audience matched at every turn. The crowd didn’t just watch the show, they became part of it, singing along with her all night long. Song after song, the voices from the floor rose to meet hers, a sign of how deeply these tracks have resonated with her fans.

One of the night’s most memorable moments came when LØLØ brought Mylie Taylor back out to join her on “Delusional Darling.” The collaboration tied the evening together, pairing the two Canadian artists on stage for a shared performance that the crowd embraced.

The connection wasn’t limited to the music. Between songs, LØLØ spoke directly to the audience, opening up about what the album means to her and the place it holds in her life. Her words came across as genuine, and she made a point of expressing how grateful she is for the fans who have supported her. In a room full of people who clearly knew every lyric, that gratitude felt mutual.
