Hail The Sun Tour
w/ Mella, Makari, Foxy Shazam, Hail The Sun
Hail The Sun brought their U.S. tour to Archer Music Hall in Allentown, PA, accompanied by three supporting acts: Mella, Makari, and Foxy Shazam. The night drew an enthusiastic crowd that packed the venue, with fans clearly eager and ready for what was shaping up to be a memorable evening of live music.
Mella hit the stage first and immediately the crowd got eagerly into it. Their sound carried strong emo and swancore themes, drawing natural comparisons to Dance Gavin Dance, and it was clear the audience appreciated every bit of it. The energy in the room was upbeat from the jump, with fans responding warmly to Mella's dynamic performance. For an opening act, they set an impressive tone for the night and made sure no one in the room was standing still.
Makari took the stage next. They opened their set with the fan favorite "Transient," and this is the point of the show where the crowd really got hyped and started singing along. The electricity in the room intensified, and it truly showed in Makari's presence. Vocalist Andy Cizek's presence was not only noticed, but electrifying. His half-spin kicks, his smiles of joy, and the overall vibes he was giving off showed that he was born into music — and it certainly helps that he performs in multiple bands as well. Fans sang their hearts out throughout Makari's entire set. Near the end, Andy jumped off the stage to crowd surf while still singing.
Foxy Shazam took the stage next, and what followed was nothing short of unexpected. Lead vocalist Eric Nally is reminiscent of Freddie Mercury in his showmanship and vocal range, and throughout the entire set, he did not miss a beat. The whole band draws strong comparisons to Queen with their electrifying, charismatic, and jaw-dropping performances. Keyboardist Schuyler White opened the set by jumping on top of his piano stand and welcoming the audience, and when the first note hit, he began working his magic. Near the end of the set, White leaped off the stage with his keyboard and played the keys out in the audience while standing on the barricade.
Hail The Sun finally took the stage to thunderous applause. Lead vocalist Donovan Melero commanded the room from the moment he stepped out, bringing a raw and relentless energy that fed off the crowd at every turn. The audience sang along loudly throughout the set, matching Melero's intensity note for note. It was clear that everyone in the room knew exactly why they were there, and Hail The Sun delivered in every sense of the word — closing out the night in spectacular fashion and leaving the crowd with a show they won't soon forget.
