The final date of the Idobi Radio Summer School Tour brought Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia to life on August 10, 2025. Now in its second year, the anniversary run showcased a genre-spanning lineup that effortlessly moved between pop hooks, alt-rock anthems, and the heaviest breakdowns of the night, all under one roof.

Opening the evening was Huddy, who wasted no time setting the tone. Blending pop punk attitude with mainstream pop sensibilities, Huddy’s set was fast-paced and confident, giving the crowd an immediate reason to get on their feet. Even the early arrivals found themselves moving along to the beat as the room’s energy steadily climbed.

Arrows in Action followed, delivering their signature mix of anthemic choruses and tightly woven guitar work. The Florida-based trio brought a sense of warmth and connection to their set, engaging the audience with playful banter and effortlessly pulling sing-alongs from the front rows. Their upbeat performance built perfectly on Huddy’s momentum, paving the way for the night’s first burst of controlled chaos.

That chaos arrived courtesy of Beauty School Dropout. Known for their unpredictable and theatrical live shows, the band transformed the venue into their own personal playground. The standout moment came when their guitarist abandoned the stage midsong during a solo break, scaling the fence up to the balcony and shimmying side-to-side above the pit before making his way back to the stage. The stunt sent the crowd into a frenzy and cemented their set as one of the evening’s most talked-about performances.

Shifting the night into heavier territory, If Not For Me stormed the stage with a metalcore-infused set that brought a harder edge to the lineup. Chugging riffs, screamed vocals, and relentless breakdowns kept the pit surging from start to finish. Their heavier sound contrasted sharply with the pop-leaning acts on the bill, adding a welcome jolt of diversity that ensured the night never felt one-dimensional.

Anticipation was at a fever pitch by the time Charlotte Sands took the stage. Met with deafening cheers, she delivered a set that combined pop sensibility with rock grit, her charisma radiating with each note. Songs like “Dress” and “Alright” became full-venue singalongs, and her ability to connect both personally and musically made her set a clear highlight of the night.

Rain City Drive kept the momentum going, leaning into their polished alt-rock sound. Their performance was a seamless blend of soaring vocals, tight instrumentation, and dynamic shifts that kept the crowd engaged. From high-energy anthems to more emotionally charged numbers, they gave fans plenty to hold onto.

Closing the night, Taylor Acorn delivered a finale that was equal parts powerful and heartfelt.Commanding the stage with unshakable confidence, she made her presence felt in every corner of the room. Whether delivering intimate ballads or driving rockers, her voice and movement held the crowd’s attention to the very last note. Acorn’s balance of vulnerability and strength left the audience both satisfied and wishing the night could go on just a little longer.

As the lights came up, it was clear the Summer School Tour had once again succeeded in creating a night where genres blended, personalities shined, and every performance brought something unique to the table. From balcony-scaling theatrics to unifying singalongs, the Philadelphia finale was a reminder of why we keep showing up for live music: the variety, the energy, and the connections that can only happen when we’re all in the same room.
